Abstract:
In this chapter the reader has the opportunity to apply what he has learned so far to specific small but interesting problems. The purpose of the chapter is to sharpen his thinking. Each of these small problems is adequately described and analyzed, explained how it is solved, and the code that solves it in Python is presented. The reader will then be able to execute this code in the interactive execution mode and follow it step by step. Examples of such small algorithms are calculating prime numbers, decomposing a number into a prime factor product, finding perfect numbers, finding friendly numbers, identifying leap years, conversions between unit systems, binary number operations, operations between complex numbers.
