Abstract:
First, the general architecture of the ground station is determined, where reference is made to the stages of which it is composed, the structural configuration and the equipment. A detailed analysis of the stages is carried out, such as the antenna array and the amplifiers. Then, reference is made to the types of ground stations, analyzing each type. Also, the mechanical design of a terrestrial system is described, with references to important topics, such as the mechanical precision of the antenna system, the tracking system, etc. Finally, the technology is mentioned, as well as the construction processes of a medium- and large-size ground station.
