Description:
Abstract:
In the second chapter of the proposed textbook, the structure of the executive power and public administration, as well as the administrative organization of the Greek state, will be analyzed. Within this context, the main systems of administrative organization will be presented—namely, the centralized system, the decentralized system, and the systems of functional and territorial self-government—and their application within the framework of Greek public administration. Specifically, the legal regulation of the organization of central administration, regional administration, local self-government, and functional self-government will be examined. In parallel, the legal status of constitutionally established Independent Authorities will also be addressed, including: the Ombudsman (Synigoros tou Politi), the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (HDPA), the Supreme Council for Civil Personnel Selection (ASEP), the Authority for the Assurance of Communications Privacy (AADP), and the National Council for Radio and Television (NCRTV).
