Description:
Abstract:
This chapter describes in detail all the phases of developing a simulation model for managerial decision making, as well as the activities that the researcher must perform in each phase. The study of a simulation model begins with a preliminary study of the system to identify the important aspects of the system. Data are then collected to help estimate the key inputs of the model, which is then plotted diagrammatically and then solved using appropriate software. The development phase of any model is not considered complete unless its validity - reliability is checked through appropriate procedures (verification and validation).
