Description:
Abstract:
Healthcare for the prospective mother should begin before conception. Some counseling practices are necessary to ensure that the woman is heading towards a future pregnancy and that, subsequently, she has a pregnancy that evolves under the best conditions. For example, timely administration of folic acid or regulation of glucose levels are absolutely necessary to avoid congenital abnormalities and complications for the mother.
