Description:
Abstract:
This chapter begins with a presentation of the basic principles of mobility management and how it differs from the traditional approach to demand management. It then lists mobility management measures (based on the spatial level of influence, the type of measure, measures relating to information, the promotion of alternative modes of transport, organizational and coordination measures, education and training measures), while at the same time presenting examples of good practices from Greek and European experience, both in terms of the implementation of measures and their effectiveness. It highlights the need to raise awareness among travelers as an essential component of the successful implementation of a mobility management measure. At the same time, the basic principles of organizing a mobility management program are presented (partners, necessary planning and evaluation tools, actions).
