The purpose of this chapter is to examine how the price of foreign currencies is determined in the domestic market. It studies the demand for foreign exchange, that is, the demand for foreign currencies, the supply of foreign exchange, and the determination of the equilibrium price. Additionally, it explores the concept of the real exchange rate and the relationship between exchange rates and interest rates.
