Description:
Abstract:
This book looks at how the economic system works according to the Keynesian and classical economic models. It covers product and money markets, the formation of the general price level, fiscal and monetary policy, public debt analysis, the external sector and the foreign exchange market, as well as the implications of investment and consumption theory. To reinforce the material, each chapter includes exercises with answers, while the presentation is based on simple geometric figures and simple macroeconomic models. The level of analysis corresponds to that of second- or third-year students at Greek universities, but with appropriate selection of chapters, it can also be used for an introductory course in macroeconomics.
