A theoretical presentation of the field of thematic analysis will be provided in connection with the areas of organization and management of knowledge, documentation, information access, search, and retrieval. Contents will include issues such as: Definitions, thematic analysis, brief historical overview Documentation, abstract writing, and keyword selection, databases Indexing, indexing languages, types of indexes (e.g., KWIC, KWOC indexes, citation indexes), and indexing (combined, post-coordinate indexing) Evaluation of indexing (in relation to information retrieval, recall, precision) The role of terminology in thematic analysis and access Documentation and thematic analysis standards Bibliography
