In this chapter the definition of the indefinite integral is introduced and an analytical methodology of related exercises oriented towards engineering problems is listed. The concept and applications of the definite integral are also introduced with an emphasis on applications of inequalities and the concept of the mean value. Also included are problems in geometric applications, rate of change and cumulative (cumulative) functions.
