| Abstract: |
In this chapter, the concept of limit is introduced, initially giving a qualitative definition. The different types of boundaries are defined sequentially, following the official terminology and approach. A general methodology for calculating the limits is then presented. The grouping of the various cases is based on the type of indeterminacy that arises each time. The qualitative understanding of the concept of the limit is attempted through the methodology and the citation of examples. At the end of the chapter, a more rigorous definition (Cauchy definition) is given, accompanied by a methodology for solving problems based on this definition.
