The concept of an asymptotic line has already been used in the study of monotonicity of functions in the previous chapter. In this chapter, a more systematic study of the concept of asymptotic lines is presented, with a special emphasis on how to calculate them, in a series of mathematical problems. Acquiring the ability to calculate asymptotes is very important for calculating and plotting the behavior (graph) of functions.
