The Zionist movement in Europe
Authors: Tziaras, Kostas
Description:
Abstract:
This chapter presents the historical conditions for the birth of the Zionist movement. Zionism is analysed as a peculiar national movement, which is placed in the context of the development of European nationalist movements and the creation of nation states and is at the same time, to a certain extent, a response to them and to the anti-Semitism that is often expressed by them.
