Abstract: |
The second teaching unit (TU2) of the book aims to introduce the reader to abiotic factors of ecosystems, namely sunlight, heat, atmospheric humidity and atmospheric air. Their ecophysiological importance is described and their most important effects on the natural ecosystems are analyzed, with emphasis on the forest ecosystems of Greece. In addition, suggestions are given for the management of ecosystems in relation to these factors.
