Description:
Abstract:
The incorporation of anti-discrimination law in the countries of the Romano-Germanic legal tradition has encountered serious obstacles. Chapter 5 examines these obstacles in certain representative countries of continental Europe, such as Germany, France and Greece. Reference is also made to the Netherlands, which has more readily incorporated this law. However, before this comparative presentation, the concept of legal transplants and the turbulent scholarly debate surrounding the obstacles encountered in their implementation are briefly examined.
