Description:
Abstract:
This chapter refers to interdisciplinarity and analyses the main aspects of the issue with emphasis on the definition of the concept's framework and its use as a methodological tool. The theoretical background of the concept is presented, and specific reference is made to its aspects related to the issue of disability and gender. The character of this methodological tool for the analysis of a variety of issues that are often at cross-purposes is highlighted. This recognition shows the multifactorial nature of disability and helps in its critical analysis. At the end of the chapter, the relevant legal developments are presented, and it is made clear how interdisciplinarity can be used as a tool for legal production.
