Κεφάλαιο 3.1 Slut shaming

Abstract

Στο παρόν κεφάλαιο παρουσιάζεται η έννοια του «slut-shaming», με ανάλυση των βασικών προβληματικών που εκδηλώνονται γύρω από αυτήν. Γίνεται ευρύτερη συζήτηση για τα Σεξουαλικά Διπλά Πρότυπα (ΣΔΠ), τα οποία βρίσκονται στον πυρήνα του «slut-shaming». Χρησιμοποιώντας τις κατάλληλες θεωρίες, ερμηνεύονται οι ρίζες των ΣΔΠ και μέσα από έρευνες διαφαίνεται η επικράτηση των ΣΔΠ στις σύγχρονες κοινωνίες. Ακόμη, γίνεται ειδική αναφορά στο «slut-shaming» εντός της ελληνικής επικράτειας και εξηγούνται οι βασικές προβληματικές που αφορούν την κατανόηση και χρήση του όρου στην ελληνική γλώσσα. Τέλος, παρουσιάζονται οι νομικές εξελίξεις γύρω από αυτή την έννοια, με ιδιαίτερη έμφαση στην ανάδειξη του νομικού κενού που υπάρχει αναφορικά με αυτήν.

This chapter presents the concept of "slut-shaming" with an analysis of the main problems that manifest around it. There is a broader discussion of Sexual Double Standards (SDS), which lie at the core of 'slut-shaming'. Using appropriate theories, the roots of SDS are interpreted and through research, the prevalence of SDS in contemporary societies is revealed. Furthermore, a special reference is made to "slut-shaming" within the Greek territory and the main problems concerning the understanding and use of the term in the Greek language are explained. Finally, the legal developments surrounding this concept are presented, with particular emphasis on highlighting the legal gap that exists.
