Chapter Objective:
Further development of the use of URIs for the representation of well-defined concepts and the partitioning of RDF dataset bases.
Contents:
Vocabularies as groups of URIs, from which parts (mainly predicates and classes) of RDF triples are drawn when URIs with well-defined semantics are required.
RDF Schema as a tool for building RDF vocabularies.
Well-known vocabularies in the Semantic Web: foaf, dc.
Predicates famous in the Linked Data space: rdf:type, rdfs:label και owl:sameAs.
