Abstract: |
In this chapter, we will create five applications using the PyGame library. PyGame is an open-source interface for the Python programming language, specifically intended for the development of games and multimedia applications. It is based on the SDL library (Simple DirectMedia Layer), which allows us to create games and multimedia programs in Python. PyGame operates on almost every platform and operating system that runs Python. The library was released under the LGPL (Lesser General Public License), and we can use it to create various applications. In the first section of the chapter, we will look at the basic functions of PyGame, as well as how we can create and customize the window where we will develop our applications. In the second section, we will implement four games and one animation to familiarize ourselves with the library.
