Abstract:
In this specific chapter, the concepts of climate variability and climate change are presented, along with contemporary perspectives of the external factors’ dynamic feedbacks. The differences and similarities between them are analyzed, as well as the role of human activities. Additionally, the basic characteristics of significant climate phenomena are introduced, such as the Southern Oscillation El Niño, the North Atlantic Oscillation, the Monsoon activity, and the variability of stratospheric ozone, which significantly impacts the global climate.
