Description:
Abstract:
The subject of neuroscience is the study of the human brain. During the last years there has been a strong research interest in the utilization of its findings in areas of interest to business administration, such as the understanding of human behavior in the organizational environment and related processes, such as leadership, motivation and learning. The more thorough the understanding of the functioning of the brain becomes, the more effective the understanding of human behavior, the prevention of unproductive actions, the planning and management of organizational development. This chapter aims to present relevant studies and their findings and to describe the ways in which neuroscience data can support businesses in their pursuit of excellence, particularly in the area of employee management/utilisation.
