Numerical solution of ordinary differential equations and partial differential equations in one dimension using B-splines and Bézier-Bernstein polynomials. Application of the collocation method and the Galerkin-Ritz method to second-order differential equations: Poisson and Laplace, Fourier (transient heat transfer), wave propagation equation (eigenvalues, time response) in elastic rods and acoustic pipes.
