Description:
Abstract:
There are many psychological theories that are based on the principle that people engage in a habit, such as exercising, because they first expect an outcome, and second evaluate that outcome as important. There are many reasons that motivate people to play sports, which are not always completely external or internal, but there are gradations, from reasons completely external to the sport, to completely internal reasons. In this chapter, all modern theories of motivation are first presented, and then examples and practical exercises are specified, which will help athletes, students and exercisers of all ages, to activate and commit to exercise programs. These techniques differ according to the category of individuals.
