The book serves as a supplementary aid for consolidating the course in General Inorganic Chemistry. General Inorganic Chemistry is not intended exclusively for chemists, as scientists from various disciplines—such as engineers and technologists—increasingly draw on it to advance their work. With this in mind, the book is written in a simple and clear manner to benefit new students from diverse academic backgrounds. The creation of a bank of questions, exercises, and problems in Inorganic Chemistry offers dual benefits. First, it supports students in reading, understanding, and consolidating the course material more effectively. Second, it assists instructors by serving as a rich source of assessment material. Part A of the book presents the theory in a concise format. Part B includes closed-ended questions (multiple choice, true/false) and open-ended questions (essay, short-answer, and computational problems). Each chapter begins with clearly stated objectives, and the sequence of questions is organized by type and difficulty level. At the end of each chapter, tests are provided to assess the achievement of these objectives. Student performance is evaluated with constructive feedback, which refers either to repetition and further practice within the chapter or to moving on to the next one. Part C contains the answers and solutions to the problems. Particular emphasis is placed on cases where the selected answers in Part A are incorrect. In such instances, the book provides explanations, illustrative examples, and references to relevant textbook passages or online resources. Additionally, interactive activities are incorporated to eliminate misunderstandings and reinforce learning. |
