Description:
Abstract:
The chapter presents the errors that govern a sample quantitative survey, namely measurement errors, which concern the answers to the questions, and representation errors, which concern whether the data collected ultimately refers to the population we wish to report on. The second part of the chapter presents the advantages and disadvantages of face-to-face surveys, telephone surveys, postal surveys and online surveys, as well as the categories of online surveys. The data collection methods are compared based on the aforementioned errors and the relevant comparison tables provided by Bethlehem and Biffignandi (2011) in their book.
