Description:
Abstract:
In this chapter, the main techniques for knowledge extraction from data are presented, such as association rule mining, decision trees, clustering and methods for decision making, as well as methods based on fuzzy logic. For all methods, elements of their theoretical foundations are given and they are presented with paradigms and figures, so that the reader understands them qualitatively and comprehends their application fields , their potential and weaknesses, as well as their adjustment parameters. The aim is to guide the reader to select the most suitable methods for solving business intelligence problems.
