This chapter describes the polymers produced from step polymerization, i.e. polyamides, polyesters, polyethers, polyurethanes, crosslinked polyesters, epoxy resins, polysulfides, as well as resins of formaldehyde with phenol, urea or melamine. Synthesis methods, chemical and physical properties and their main applications are given.
