This chapter shows how young people perceive the world and their future selves at the beginning and end of the previous decade. It aims to investigate whether and to what extent the life expectations of girls and boys differ and whether they are influenced by the social composition of the family, but also the life patterns of young girls and boys. At the same time, it explores changes in adolescent expectations between the two time periods, with the impact of the economic crisis as an interpretative axis.
