The KALLIPOS Subject Terms Catalogue is a bilingual "controlled vocabulary," i.e., a "set of standardized words and/or phrases", containing over 10.000 scientific terms in Greek and English, classified into 25 fields of scientific knowledge. The initial aim of its creation was to be used in the subject description of academic electronic textbooks within the framework of the KALLIPOS Action/Project, while its ultimate purpose is to promote and establish standard scientific terminology.
