Chapter 8 presents in exhaustive detail the diseases of the silkworm caused by microorganisms and parasites. Silkworm diseases are presented in the order of grave morbidity they cause in the silkworm while, in the last section of the chapter, reference is made to the poisoning of the silkworm larvae by insecticides.
