Abstract:
In this chapter, we present various projects and technologies and analyze their potential contributions to the German Digital Library (Deutsche Digitalen Bibliothek - DDB). We focus on two topics: data modeling and entity linking. In each of these parts, we first describe the problem and then present several projects that address it innovatively. Both parts of the chapter end with a discussion about these ideas and their use in DDB. The chapter concludes with a perspective on the future development of DDB.
