This chapter presents the basic principles of body fluid collection. These include blood sampling (venous, arterial, retro-orbital sinus and cardiac puncture, blood sampling from the tail, venous and arterial catheterization and bleeding), and collection of feces, urine (metabolic cages, urinary bladder catheterization and puncture) and other body fluids.
