Abstract: |
In computer cinematography, before the visual field there is the data space and its informational character, in the broad sense of the term. "It's not an image, it's organized information," assures Bill Viola. Passing through this stage is necessary for the construction of the computer cinematography space and the acquisition of a synthetic image. On the contrary, the type of information we will give depends on the goal we set. Is the information about the presentation processes or the simulated environment? Is it meant to be visible or not? The virtual camera is an example of information that is intended to remain invisible. Losing its physical existence, the virtual camera in computer cinematography is freed from the limitations encountered in real space. This freedom allows experimentation with new methods of presentation.
