Description:
Abstract:
What essentially completes and validates the creation of a cinematic work is its encounter with the audience. In this sense, the strategic preparation regarding the screening and exploitation of the film should begin as early as the conception of the initial idea. This chapter analyzes the need to redefine the identity of the now completed film, as well as the target audience it can address. It also presents all available means of screening and exploitation, as shaped in today's international market with rapid technological advancements. Finally, two different paths for promoting the film are thoroughly analyzed and mapped out: collaboration with distribution companies/international sales or independent distribution.
