Description:
Abstract:
In this chapter we examine the normal series of groups which helps us to understand the structure of a group from that of its suitable subgroups. Also we examine how we can construct a group from certain of its subgroups. In particular we study the solvable groups, which play an important role in the theory of the solvability of algebraic equations.
