Description:
Abstract:
This chapter discusses the theories that explain the learning process, with special emphasis on Constructivism, which focuses on the learner's mental processes to identify how he or she constructs his or her own knowledge, rather than simply acquiring existing knowledge. Constructivism proposes that knowledge and reality do not have an objective or absolute value, and that learning is an active process where individuals construct their understanding of the world based on prior knowledge and experiences. All the theories presented in this chapter provide frameworks for understanding how learning occurs and offer insights into effective teaching and learning strategies.
