Abstract:
This textbook covers the rapidly emerging field of Precision Agriculture, which, although it has been incorporated into most European and American university curricula, does not have a university textbook in Greece tailored to the needs of students in both Plant Production and Agricultural Engineering. The textbook examines the theory, technologies, management, economics, environmental footprint, and applications of precision agriculture, both internationally and in Greece. In addition, a separate chapter analyzes the applications of remote sensing in precision agriculture, as well as the applications of robotics in agriculture.
