Description:
Abstract:
A. Text: Introduction (specific introduction to the given text) - Latin text - translation - vocabulary - translation commentary. Exercises on the text: grammar - morphology. B. Syntax Topic: Indirect Speech The extensive use of indirect speech in everyday communication and in literary texts makes it an essential part of learning the language. Special attention will be given to ensuring students understand that indirect speech is neither exceptionally complex nor bound by rigid rules that must be memorized. Its meaning does not differ from the indirect speech of Modern Greek, and its formal aspects arise naturally from the knowledge of other syntactic phenomena. Teaching and exercises will focus on both Latin examples and Modern Greek examples that need to be translated into Latin. C. Additional Text for Practice
