Description:
Abstract:
This chapter will present how CIDOC-CRM models descriptions and creates semantic networks. This chapter focuses on two main perspectives: creating static descriptions and creating dynamic descriptions. The set of perspectives will be completed in the next chapter with the presentation of a third perspective concerning social and intellectual influences. Static descriptions refer, primarily, to properties that can be directly observed on the objects in the collections, while dynamic descriptions provide the possibility of describing what happens during the lifetime of the Persistent Items (Beings).
