Abstract:
The second chapter analyzes the mutation of the concept of imitation in its passage from the 19th to the 20th century. The methodologies for searching for innovations and the new orientations of contemporary architecture are investigated as well as the different ways of producing the new through concepts such as invention, re-establishment, and alternation.
