| Description: | |
| Abstract: |
This chapter concerns the motion under the influence of a force from a centre, attractive or repulsive, with an important subcase being the gravitational force, as in Kepler’s problem. The reduction of motion to one-dimensional through the conservation of angular momentum, the study of motion through the graph of the effective potential energy, but also how to find the particle trajectory are analyzed.
