This chapter concerns the study of linear oscillations. In addition to the undamped harmonic oscillations under the influence of a restoring force proportional to the distance from the equilibrium position, damped oscillations are also studied, in which a resistance force proportional to the velocity is additionally exerted, but also forced oscillations with a harmonic driving force.
