Dynamics of a point particle
Authors: Vlahakis, Nektarios
Description:
Abstract:
This chapter concerns the point particle dynamics, i.e. how the forces acting on a point-like body determine its motion. In the context of Newtonian Mechanics, this relationship of forces and motion is governed by Newton's three laws of motion. After mentioning and commenting on these laws, a first application of them is made mainly on problems of motion under the influence of speed-dependent resistance.
