Description: | |
Abstract: |
This chapter offers a theoretical background about the creative arts therapies, specific activities, and guidelines for therapists. A pilot study on the influence of creative arts therapies on a group of adolescents shows evidence of positive results. Also, theory and clinical excerpts illustrate the therapeutic use of mandalas and the Mandala Assessment Research Instrument (MARI), designed by the art therapist Joan Kellogg.
