Three approaches to labour school in Greece: Key positions and differentiations
Authors: Papastefanaki, Eleftheria
Reviewer: Dalakoura, Aikaterini
Description:
Abstract:
The second chapter addresses the emergence and evolution of the New Education movement in Greece and inscribes it in the broader historical context. In addition, it identifies three distinct reform pedagogical currents and their relation to the language issue and the broader political processes that marked the contemporary Greek society. It presents the key pedagogical concepts, as developed in the context of New Education, as well as the way they are conceptually differentiated and appropriated by the three distinct manifestations of the Greek reform pedagogy.
